Terms of use
Updated:
These terms cover taslak.dev, the Taslak panel, API, command-line tool, MCP server and the sites published on Taslak. By using Taslak you accept these terms, the acceptable use policy and the privacy policy.
The service
Taslak publishes a file, a folder or a static site, keeps every publish as a version you can go back to, and lets you decide who sees your site. We may change features such as access control, domains, the git repository, cloud builds, site databases and file storage from time to time to improve the service.
Your account
- You open your account with a code sent to your e-mail address, a password or GitHub. Keeping your account, password and API keys safe is your responsibility; if you think a key leaked, revoke it at once.
- Whoever creates a team owns it and decides who joins with which role.
- You can delete your account at any time in the panel under Sign-in and security → Delete my account.
The content you publish
- The files you publish, the data visitors send to your sites and your sites’ databases are yours. You give us permission to store, copy, process and serve them worldwide only to provide the service.
- You are responsible for having the right to publish your content, for informing your visitors about their personal data and for following the law that applies to your site.
- Your content must follow the acceptable use policy.
Publishing without an account
A site published without an account stops serving 33 hours 20 minutes after its latest publish; to keep it at the same address, claim it into an account with the claim link that comes with the publish. Publishing without an account has lower size and count limits.
Version history and backups
- From 8 November 2026, earlier versions of a site are kept for a time that depends on the plan: production versions 30 days on Free, 180 on Go and 365 on Plus; preview versions (from a branch or pull request, never live) 7, 60 and 180 days. The live version, pinned versions, the latest version of each existing branch and open pull request, versions a share link, grant or visual review points at, and the 10 latest production versions are always kept. Versions published before this rule started are kept at least 30 days after it started. Details are on the limits page.
- A deleted version, whether you deleted it or retention did, can be restored for 30 days; then it and the files no other version uses are removed for good.
- You can back up a site and restore the backup into it or into a new site. Each site keeps 1 backup on Free, 7 on Go and 30 on Plus; a newer backup beyond that removes the oldest. Backups do not contain secret variable values, passwords or files visitors uploaded.
Plans and payment
- Plans. Free is for personal use. Go ($5 a month) and Plus ($15 a month) are per team; their limits are on the limits page. VAT or sales tax for your country is added at checkout. We announce price changes in advance; a paid period’s price does not change.
- Payment. Polar Software Inc. (Polar) sells the subscriptions as merchant of record: it takes payment, calculates and pays tax, and sends the receipt and invoice. The purchase is also subject to Polar’s buyer terms.
- Usage billing. From 1 January 2027, Go and Plus are also billed for usage at the rates on the limits page: the plan price comes back each billing period as usage credit for the team (it does not roll over), and usage above the credit and Plus members beyond 10 are added to the next invoice. Usage before that date is never charged. Owners can set a spending cap per period; once usage reaches it, sites keep serving but new publishes and builds wait until the cap is raised or the next period starts. We e-mail owners at 80% and 100% of the credit and of the cap. Usage is measured hourly, so a period can end slightly over the cap; that usage is billed. Free is never billed for usage.
- Failed payments. If a payment fails, the team becomes read-only for 7 days: its sites keep serving, but new publishes, builds, domain and settings changes are refused. We e-mail owners when it starts and 2 days before the end. After 7 days, until the payment goes through, the team’s sites show a “This site is paused” page instead of their content. Nothing is deleted; paying brings everything back at once. If Polar ends the subscription after its retries, the team returns to Free.
- Free build minutes. Free includes 100 build minutes a month; further builds wait until the next calendar month.
- Renewal and cancellation. Subscriptions renew every month until cancelled. Change or cancel yours in the Polar customer portal opened from the Team and plan page. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period; the team then returns to Free and we do not delete your sites. A team over the Free limits cannot create new sites and may not publish until it is back within them.
Taking sites down and suspending accounts
We may take down a site that breaks these terms or the acceptable use policy. Its addresses then show a “taken down” page; files, versions and settings are not deleted. We tell the site’s owners the reason by e-mail and in the panel; for serious or repeated breaches we may suspend or close the account. We comply with lawful requests of competent authorities about unlawful content. You can appeal at help@taslak.dev.
Liability
We build Taslak with care, but we cannot promise the service will be uninterrupted or free of errors. Keep your own copy of important content. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect damage, loss of data or loss of profit. Your rights under consumer law are unaffected.
Ending
You can stop using Taslak and delete your account whenever you like. If we shut the service down, we will announce it in advance and give you time to export your sites.
Changes
When we change these terms we update the date on this page. We announce important changes in the panel or by e-mail.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Turkey.
