Acceptable use
Updated:
Anyone can publish a site on Taslak in seconds, even without an account. To keep it that way, we do not allow the following. This policy is part of the terms of use.
Content that may not be published
- Phishing and fraud: sign-in pages that imitate a bank, institution, brand or person; forms that try to collect passwords, card or identity details; fake payment, delivery or prize pages.
- Malware: viruses, ransomware, spyware or links that spread them; code that uses visitors’ devices without consent (such as hidden cryptocurrency mining).
- Child sexual abuse material of any kind. We report it to the competent authorities.
- Unlawful content: content that infringes someone’s copyright or trademark, publishing personal data without consent, calls for violence, terrorism or hatred, sale of illegal goods and services.
- Non-consensual intimate content, and pages made to harass, threaten or expose a person.
- Spam and deceptive redirects: landing pages of spam e-mails, pages made to game search engines, redirects that move visitors to another site without telling them.
Abusing the service
- Using Taslak as a file-sharing or backup store, or as a video or large-file distribution network; serving large files unrelated to the site’s purpose.
- Creating many accounts or sites without an account to get around limits.
- Attacking Taslak, another user’s site or third parties, trying to get around security measures, or trying to reach another team’s data.
- Using sites’ database, storage or comment features for spam or to harvest other people’s data.
What we do
We may take down a breaching site without warning. Its addresses then show a “taken down” page; the files are not deleted and the owners are told the reason. For serious or repeated breaches we may close the account and report unlawful content to the competent authorities.
Reporting abuse
If you see a site that breaks this policy, use the report form or write to
help@taslak.dev.
Include the site’s full address (for example example.taslak.page/login), what breaks the policy
and a screenshot if you have one. For copyright notices, state that you own the right or act for
its owner and name the work infringed. We review reports as soon as we can and handle phishing and
malware first.
To appeal a takedown of your site, write to the same address with the site’s address.
